The Contributions of MAKÜ Disabled Student Coordination to the Panel 'A Holistic Approach to Disability' Were Realized

On May 10-16, due to the Disability Week, the panel 'A Holistic Approach to Disability' was held at our University on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The event organized by the Burdur Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, with the contributions of the MAKÜ Disabled Student Coordination, was attended by academics, individuals with special needs, and their families. The program highlighted the importance of the full and equal participation of disabled individuals in social life.

As part of the event, various activities were carried out in the awareness course created by the MAKÜ Physiotherapy Community. Additionally, informational activities for participants were included with the contributions of academics.

The program emphasized the importance of supporting disabled individuals in every area of life, from education to employment, and from health to social life. It was stated that disability is not just an individual issue, but a shared responsibility that requires social sensitivity.
